2/4 Best opaleye day since 2020.  Bite started immediately upon arrival and lasted for over 2 hours at Palos Verdes. Five opaley worth 14 tacos from Palos Verdes 2/4/2023

6/10 Wook and I fished Diamond Valley Lake with perfect overcast conditions but had no hits. My favorite coastal overcast weather for largemouth bass fishing but caught none at Diamond Valley Lake 6/10/2023
   
8/3 Fished 8 days in the John Muir Wilderness but did not hook any big brown trout. I hiked all my fishing gear to Secret Brown Trout Lake but didn't land any big ones 8/3/2023

6/2 - Training Hike VIII BORING!  Tried trails in the San Gabriel Mountains but all were closed to entry due to fires and wet winter photos

5/27 - Training Hike VII 15 miles up and down Indian Truck Trail to Main Divide road in 11.5 hours, no pain no strain.  Felt great!!  photo

5/20 - Training Hike VI.  Hadn't hiked for 3 weeks.  Last week went to Gabrielino Trail but it was closed due to fire damage.  Today's hike hurt my legs and feet pret good. photos 

4/29 - Training Hike V 14 miles up and down Indian Truck Trail 13 hours 50 minutes photos

4/22 - Calico bass fishing at Palos Verdes.  Breakwall Wook caught all the fish report

4/15 - Training Hike IV 12 minles up and down Indian Truck Trail.  Was 45 minutes ahead of Hike III going up, which is good news.  photos

4/8 - First calico bass run of the season to Palos Verdes netted 2, with 4 other hits  report

3/25 - Training Hike II 8 miles up and down Indian Truck Trail.  Feet hurt for only the last mile down instead of agony the last 3 miles 2 weeks ago.  photos

3/18 - Tried for opaleye but the algae bait at Colorado Lagoon was bloomed out and no good.

3/12 - First training hike of the year up and down Indian Truck Trail 7 miles.  Got blisters on both feet behind the toes and  on the bottom of the heels.  First blisters in over 20 years of hiking.  Same boots last 2 years.  photos

03/04 - Had perfect bait, swell and high tide but only had a couple hits from little opaleye.  Thinking the lowering barometer halted the bite photo
